I am a drama student at the Instititut del Teatre de Barcelona. I love theatre and dance, but also really enjoy comics and the world of animation. The thing I like the most about working in Rainbow Barcelona is making visitors feel welcome and the possibility it gives me to share my city’s culture from a local perspective; the people who over the centuries have made the city such a culturally rich and vibrant place to live.

I was born and raised in Barcelona but I’ve always been looking for new challenges so I moved first to Berlin and then to London. Years passed by and I was missing this city so much that I moved back from one day to the next one.  The sun, beaches, the food and our lifestyle made me come back home so now I am sharing my passion for this city to everyone who comes to discover it.

Although originally from England I am now a fully fledged patriot and lover of Barcelona and its surrounding towns. A linguist by trade being a tour guide has allowed me to meet new people, broaden my horizons and integrate with the locals. I have worked in the hospitality sector for several years and this combined with my passion for history is sure to guarantee a memorable experience in the city.

Born in Barcelona and working in the tourism business since 2005, designing customized tours for groups and travelling all over Europe I could know most of its capitals, and sincerely I can say, there’s none where I have felt so respected and free like in Berlin. Its open-minded, dynamic and enterprising character, made that in summer 2010 I left all my life back, to move to this amazing city, where the history still being the present.

At the age of 13 I visited Berlin (then still encircled by the Wall) for the first time and fell in love with the city, a love that is still going strong. After studying at the academy for fine arts in Hamburg and museology in Leipzig, I followed my heart and settled in Berlin. I’m fascinated by the unique, ever changing history of the city and find it’s vibrant, multicultural and gay friendly atmosphere inspiring every day.

I have been working for 24 years as a freelance guide in the island. I was born in La Mancha (Spain), land of dreamers, land of Don Quixote. As he did, I have lived many adventures in different cities of the world. I have worked as a tour guide in San Francisco, Paris and London. I am art historian, I am always looking for beauty, and this is the reason why I decided to stay in Madrid, the beautiful, inside and out. I am passionate about this hussy city, its artistic heritage and especially about the special way to enjoy life here.
