LGTB Tours during Circuit Festival

Circuit Festival is a Matinée Group project organized in Barcelona since 2008. With the goal of creating a new concept of festival exclusive for the LGTB community, Circuit Festival organizes concerts, parties, social, and cultural activities in different locations of Barcelona, including a private pool party in the waterpark of Illa Fantasia.

This Circuit Festival edition  will happen from August 9th to 18th 2018, and Rainbow Gay Tours is teaming up with Matinée Group to organise different LGTB tours through Barcelona with a special price for Circuit attendants during these days (August 9th to 20th 2018).

 Option 1: Modernism and Gaudí tour  

Meeting point: In front of Axel Hotel (Carrer Aribau, 33) at 16:00h
Tour available every day from August 9th to 18th for groups of 4 people or more.

This three-hour private tour is without question the best way of getting to know the most famous Modernist houses in the city.

We will begin the tour at Paseo de Gracia, where we will visit the outside of several houses created by architects Puig i Cadafalch, Domenech i Montaner and Gaudí, which are la Casa Amatller, la Casa Lleó i Morera and la Pedrera. One of Gaudí’s most spectacular works of art is la Casa Batlló, and we will be visiting its interior with the guide, who knows all of its secrets.

After this we will discover some unknown gems such as la Casa Calvet, la Casa de les Punxes or la Casa Macaya to finish our visit at la Sagrada Familia, Gaudí’s opera prima, which has now become the most famous monument of the city.

The entrance to the inside of amazing Sagrada Familia is included.

During this visit we will discuss the LGTB history of Barcelona, the lifestyle, and the different options to go out at night. We will make sure you have all the necessary information to make the most out of one of the most gayfriendly cities in the world!

 Option 2: Gothic Quarter

Tour available every day from August 9th to 18th for groups of 4 people or more.

During this 3-hour tour you will discover some of the most remarcable spots of the Gothic Quarter, the oldest neighbourhood in Barcelona. This is a perfect tour to start visiting the deepest, most traditional Barcelona. This beautiful neighbourhood has been alive for more than 2.000 years  and we can still find monuments with hundreds of years of history behind.

We will begin the tour visiting the monument of Arco de Triunfo and the Ciudadela Park, where we will find the Castle of the Three Dragons, the Zoo, the Parliament and an impressive waterfall.

Sant Jaume Square, the Jewish neighbourhood, Sant Felip Neri Square, the magnificent Cathedral, the Plaza del Rey, the roman wall, the Gothic Church of Santa María del Mar, or the Paseo del Born, among other destinations, will take us on a trip to the past where we will discover Barcelona’s history hand in hand with our experienced guides.

 Option 3: Montjuic Tour  

Meeting point:  In front of Axel Hotel (Carrer Aribau, 33) at 16:00h.
Tour available every day from August 9th to 18th for groups of 4 people or more.

We will start the tour with a walk on the clouds with the cableway, which will take us to the top of the Montjuic mountain, where you will enjoy some spectacular views of Barcelona.

There we will visit the Montjuic Castle diving into the past and discovering the amazing stories behind it.

Later on we will go the Olympic Ring, the Palau Sant Jordi or the impressive Catalonia’s Art History National Museum until we reach Plaza España, one of the most beautiful and astonishing squares of the city.
