4 April, 2017 - Barcelona
Barcelona is well known as one of the gay-friendlyest cities in Europe. This is greatly due to the amount of LGBTQ festivals celebrated throughout the year. The large number of bars and clubs that the city offers also plays an important role.
Perhaps the city’s image of the gay community is typically that of the modern twink. Perhaps this is simply the most apparent. The truth is, however, that Barcelona provides many different options for going out when it comes to the LGBTQ community. Let’s take bars for gay bears as an example. In the neighborhood of Gayxample you can find a really iconic gay bar of Barcelona: The Bacon Bear Bar. There you will meet lots of ‘bears’, with their beards and their strong and furry arms. It really offers a fantastic atmosphere to start the evening.
But if what you’re looking is a great bear party, you have a monthly date with the POP AIR, the greatest party in Barcelona for bears (and friends) which is celebrated the first weekend of every month at Metro Disco.
Moreover, we shouldn’t forget United Bear Pride Barcelona, which is always an absolute success and had the support of more than 3500 members on social networking sites. It usually takes place in April and we recommend following its facebook page so you won’t miss the next edition!
Finally, the Bears Week Sitges for all bears and their admirers, an event that you absolutely cannot miss, will be celebrated this year from the 1st to the 11th September. Lots of fun and even more hair are a sure thing!
